Christian Benteke has suffered a serious Achilles tendon injury and will miss the World Cup.
The Aston Villa forward was injured in training and will play no further part this season and club doctors fear he could be out for eight months.
The news comes as a massive blow to both Villa and Belgium who were looking to a fit Benteke to lead their line for the remainder of the season and play a key role in Brazil this summer.
