The Wolf of Wall Street star was up for an Oscar at this year's Academy Awards but was left empty handed when the best actor prize went to Dallas Buyers Club's Matthew McConaughey.
It should cheer the 39-year-old up to hear that he is named in an impressive six categories for an MTV gong.
He is up for the best male performance award, as are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Bradley Cooper, Matthew McConaughey and Josh Hutcherson.
Leonardo and Jonah Hill are also nominated in the best on-screen duo category for their teamwork in the film.
Proving he's still a Hollywood hunk, he's also been named in the best shirtless list and faces fierce competition in the form of Jennifer Aniston, Sam Claflin, Zac Efron and Chris Hemsworth.
He's also been named in the best musical moment and best #WTF moment categories and the film also has a chance of bagging movie of the year.
Also appearing in the coveted film of the year category are 12 Years a Slave, American Hustle, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
Amy Adams, Jennifer Aniston, Sandra Bullock, Jennifer Lawrence and Lupita Nyong’o are all competing to be named best female performer.
American Hustle's Amy and Jennifer could also be in with a chance of being named in the best kiss category for their passionate lip-lock in the film.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Scarlett Johansson, James Franco, Ashley Benson and Vanessa Hudgens, Shailene Woodley and Miles Teller, and Emma Roberts, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter have also been named as some of the top onscreen kissers.
The MTV Movie Awards will take place on Sunday April 13 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Conan O'Brien.
