POLITICIANS WHO DON’T SHY AWAY FROM WEARING DENIMS
On March 1, 2014, President Obama was snapped at the Oval Office in the White House wearing a button-down denim shirt on blue jeans while speaking with Russian President Vladimir Putin on a 90-minute call over the Russian troops' entering Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula.
While critics are panning the look saying the event's seriousness called for formal attire, we believe that the dress code in itself had little role to play in a matter of such proportion. We can forgive our politicians for donning casual attire every once in a while, but we must not forgive them for doing a casual job.
Besides, just like us, our politicians love the thick blue fabric too. Seriously, we should just let the politicians be, sometimes!
Here are five politicians who don't shy away from wearing denims:

The Chairman of Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaaf political party, who has also previously been Pakistan's most successful cricket captain, leading the country to its 1992 World Cup victory, has been spotted wearing denims many times for informal engagements. Here he is seen wearing them on his arrival in Mumbai at the Chattrapati Shivaji International Stadium.

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Leader of the Conservative Party is usually immaculately dressed in crisp tuxedos. But when the going gets tough, Mr. Cameron doesn't mind slipping into his denims for some comfort factor. Cameron has also been spotted wearing denims while on a holiday in Majorca with beloved wife Samantha.
Rahul Gandhi (India)

The 'young' politician, fondly pronounced as the Youth Icon of India, has often been spotted in the youngster's uniform. Looking dapper in a crisp white kurta, Rahul Gandhi is seen here at 10, Janpath.
Priya Dutt Roncon (India)

A highly successful politician, Priya Dutt Roncon claimed a landslide victory by 1,72,043 votes against Shiv Sena in the 2005 elections, while contesting for Congress. Besides this, Priya Dutt is one of the very few politicians to have a pro-legalisation stand on prostitution, for which she is also actively in talks with other government authorities. This scuba-diving enthusiast is regularly seen wearing denims while on personal and professional engagements.
Barack Obama (USA)

The man who runs the most important office in the world, Barack Obama is one tough nut. The first African-American to serve as the President of the USA, Obama's middle class upbringing, strong beliefs, rich education, and never-say-die spirit has made him the symbol of hope and power in the whole world. One of the very few presidents to allow casual dressing in his office, his team is often seen wearing denims on casual Fridays. When not working, he is seen clicking selfies and dribbling basketballs with the NBA players. He's the man who makes presidency look cool! Hail Obama!
